Zebrafish larval heart anatomy
Description
Zebrafish has a prototypic heart with two chambers: one atrium and one ventriculum. The heart is the first functioning organ in the developing embryo, and can easily be observed in zebrafish embryos and larvae due to the optical clarity of the animal during its first weeks of age.
