Vascularized tumor in vitro models
Description
Vascularized tumor models (VTM) originate from microfluidics that allowed to put endothelial and cancer cells in contact using very simple designs. Now, VTM mostly rely on three different strategies: vascularized spheroids, vascular bed, and engineered channels. These strategies integrate the most classical features of a VTM, namely the influence of the extracellular matrix, surrounding cells and proteins, but also of the vascularization network.
