Tissue Interstitial Fluid
Description
Tissue interstitial fluid (ISF) is extracellular fluid found around cells and tissue in the extracellular matrix. It is composed of substances that flow out of blood capillaries. ISF helps deliver nutrients and remove waste and is drained via lymphatic vessels and returned to venous circulation.
