Thin Layer Chromatography

Description

Thin layer chromatography (TLC) is a technique that separates, or isolates, biochemical metabolites or compounds within a single sample by utilizing a stationary phase (i.e. TLC plate) and a mobile phase (i.e. TLC chamber). As the solvent front migrates up the TLC plate, compounds are separated based on their polarity.
