The protective mechanism of probiotic (L. gasseri) against pathogen (H. pylori)-mediated autophagy
Description
NOD1 is a member of the innate immune system that identifies microbial compounds such as EVs. H. pylori EVs can interact with NOD1 cytosolic receptor and lead to the activation of autophagy-related components and subsequent activation of host cell autophagy process. L. gasseri CFS likely exerts a suppressive effect on H. pylori EV-induced autophagy, possibly by targeting the ATG16L1-NOD1 pathway.
