Description
The neighboring effect refers to an observed phenomenon where certain cells, particularly tumor cells, release active drugs following apoptosis induced by a specific treatment. These released drugs then diffuse into the surrounding cells, which were previously unaffected, leading to their uptake of the drug and subsequent apoptosis.
