T-cell maturation characteristics in thymus
Description
T cell progenitor transition characteristics in the thymus: the first double negative 1 (DN1) express membrane bound receptors: C-Kit+ (CD117); CD44high and CD25. The second DN (DN2): C-Kit+; CD44; CD25+ and RAG+ (gene re-arrangement). DN3: C-Kit low; CD44 low; CD25 low; RAG+ and CD3+. DN4: declines c-Kit; CD44; CD25; RAG and CD3+. Double positive DP) T-cell receptor completed (TCR) and undergo selections (positive/negative) and central tolerance.
