T cell help in NK cell mediated ADCC
Description
Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) target cancer cells directly, vital in cancer therapy. Rituximab (RTX), targeting CD20, is key in B cell-malignancy treatment. Mainly, mAbs induce antibody dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) via NK cells. This graphical abstract shows that T cells provide help in maintaining NK cell viability and cytotoxic potential, thereby improving the efficacy of monoclonal antibodies.
