Description
Solids, with their tightly packed particles arranged in a fixed geometric pattern, maintain both a definite shape and volume. Liquids, while still composed of closely packed particles, exhibit fluidity, allowing them to conform to the shape of their container while retaining a definite volume. Gases, on the other hand, possess particles that are more spread out and move freely, leading to indefinite shape and volume as they expand to fill the entirety of their container.
