Spleen tyrosine kinase (Syk)-mediated mechanism of action of caspofungin in SARS-CoV-2
Description
Syk inhibitors suppress macrophage activation and overproduction of proinflammatory cytokines, thrombus formation, and the release of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) caused by SARS-CoV-2, and remove overexpressed mucin-1 from the cell membrane in lung epithelial cells.
