Spatial transcriptomics is a technology used to spatially resolve RNA-seq data, and thereby all mRNAs, in individual tissue sections. This technique allows for gene activity measurements and mapping in tissue samples. Tissue samples are prepared on glass slides and, by means of tissue-domain oligo primers, genes are encoded. Finally, data are analyzed and gene clusters are associated with tissue domains.
