Description
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) usually develops in individuals with different etiological backgrounds, ranging from infections to metabolite disorders. Non-resolving liver inflammation is a key factor that leads to primary liver cancer, with approximately 90% of cases associated with chronic inflammation leading to fibrosis, cirrhosis, and ultimately HCC.
