Schematic representation of metabolic changes leading to perturbation of metabolic pathways in AA.
Description
The 'lactate shuttle idea' is supported by decreased lactate levels and increased glucose in AA BM plasma, which lowers citrates. Through histone lactylation, lactate inhibits FoxP3 and decreases T-reg immune cells. Depletion of ATP occurs when increased glucose through PPP produces ROS. Heme acetylation by acetate causes T-cell TFs to become active. By connecting metabolic dysregulation and aberrant T-cell activation, enhanced amino acid absorption signals active SLC transporters.
