Reactivity of astroglia and microglia in neurological disorders
Description
Various pathological signals/infection/abnormal signaling/hypoxia responsible for activation of resting microglia (M2 microglia). This activated microglia secretes neurotoxic molecules such as TNF-a, IL1, NO, etc. and activates astrocyte glia. These both reactivated glia promote neurodegeneration.
