PI3K/Akt, RAS/MAPK, JAK/STAT Signaling
Description
Among signaling pathways, PI3K/Akt, RAS/MAPK, and JAK/STAT are important intracellular networks that regulate cell growth, survival, and angiogenesis. PI3K/Akt pathway is involved in cell growth, survival, and metabolism through Akt kinase activation. The RAS/MAPK pathway transmits signals from the cell surface to the nucleus affecting cell proliferation and differentiation. JAK/STAT pathway regulates gene expression in response to cytokines and growth factors and impacts immune response, cell growth, and differentiation. These signaling cascades play crucial roles in cellular functions and dysregulation is found to happen in diseases like cancer.
