Paraoxonase (PON) lactonase activity assay
Description
Paraoxonases (PONs) can be measured indirectly by evaluating their enzymatic activities towards lactone substrates. The conversion of lactones into their corresponding acid forms can be determined by ultra high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) coupled with mass spectrometry. They can be differentiated by their retention times, MS and MS/MS spectra.
