Neopterin as an inflammatory biomarker in heart failure
Description
The pathophysiological changes that occur in heart failure leads to the release of neopterin and increase in its serum levels. Neopterin levels correlate well with disease severity and prognosis of the diseases. It is a valuable biomarker for grading, diagnosis, prognosis and assessment of therapy effectiveness.
