Nanocomposite: Melt Blending Method
Description
Melt Blending: Melt blending entails mixing the polymer matrix and nanoparticles at elevated temperatures above the melting point of the polymer, followed by cooling to solidify the nanocomposite. Melt blending is advantageous for thermoplastic polymers and offers efficient nanoparticle dispersion; however, it may lead to thermal degradation of heat-sensitive drugs or polymers.
