Mouse model of ischemia/reperfusion
Description
The mouse model of ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury is a widely used experimental model in biomedical research aimed at replicating the pathological processes observed during ischemic events followed by reperfusion, such as those seen in heart attacks, strokes, and organ transplantations.
In this mouse model, ischemia is induced in the kidney, typically achieved through temporary occlusion using clamps to restrict blood flow. Subsequently, reperfusion is initiated by removing the occlusion.
