The atoms and bonds in red represent a change from the original structure (A) Methylation of N6 - methyladenosine (m6A) - adenosine (B) 5-methylcytosine (m5C) - methylation of cytosine (C) 2'-O-methylation (Nm) - methylation of ribose (D) Pseudouridine (Ψ) - nucleoside isomer of uridine (E) Inosine (I) - replacement of amino group by hydroxyl group.
