Loss of fungal membrane integrity by azole fungicides
Description
C-14 demethylation inhibitors [DMIs] have been widely used as a common agricultural anti-fungal drug. DMIs, also known as azoles, are site-specific drugs that target CYP51 in fungi, reducing fungal virulence. ergosterol synthesis inhibitor will affect the membrane integrity, leading to membrane loss and consequently reducing fungal pathogenicity.
