Infection of mammalian followed by gene expression analysis using RT-qPCR and zymography assay

Description

MDA-MB-231, a triple negative breast cancer cell line were infected with Borrelia-B31 strain for 24, 48 and 72 hours. Total RNA was extracted followed by expression patterns of MMPs and TIMPs were assessed using Quantitative RT-qPCR. Further validation of target gene was done using zymography assay which involves collecting cell lysates and performing Bradford's protein estimation assay and estimation of activity of active enzymes in the samples.
