Immune checkpoints molecules decrease T cell antitumoral response
Description
The illustration highlights key interactions between surface proteins on tumor cells (left) and T lymphocytes (right). The immune checkpoints include PD-1/PD-L1 and CTLA-4/B7 interactions, as well as the binding between HLA-G and KIR2DL4, suggesting mechanisms by which tumor cells may evade the immune response. These interactions are potential targets for immunomodulatory therapies in cancer treatment.
