Hijacking of fungal secretory pathway by mycoviruses
Description
Mycoviruses or fungal viruses are known to reduce fungal pathogenicity. However, the mechanism to minimize fungal pathogenicity is poorly understood. One such hypothesis is that fungal viruses disturb the fungal plasma membrane integrity upon infection.
Mycoviruses might be using the same secretory pathway as vesicles to reach the plasma membrane.
