Fruit fly (Diptera: Tephritidae) life cycle
Description
This is a typical life cycle of the fruit flies of the family Tephritidae, using the species Ceratitis capitata as a reference. These insects are agricultural pests of great economic relevance, responsible for considerable damage to global orcharding, and follow these basic steps to infest a host fruit.
