Formation of Lewy Body from α-Synuclein
Description
Lewy bodies are primarily made up of the accumulation of alpha-synuclein. The accumulation of Lewy bodies in the brain is believed to interfere with the normal functioning of neurons and are associated with several neurological disorders, such as Parkinson's disease and Lewy body dementia (LBD).
