Endurance exercise prevents ageing-induced dysfunction of skeletal muscle
Description
Sedentary ageing is associated with the deterioration of neuromuscular junction (NMJ) structures, impairing neuromuscular transmission and consequently modifying myofibre composition and muscle function. However, these alterations can be partly prevented by structural amelioration of NMJs induced by two months of endurance exercise.
