An editable high resolution scientific image depicting Detecting neurochemical release using fiber photometry

Detecting neurochemical release using fiber photometry

Description

Fiber photometry (FP) utilizes G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) activation-based (GRAB) sensors to measure relative concentrations of extracellular ligands. In combination with a fiber optic ferrule, the population-level release activity of neurons can be approximated by the fluorescent output of locally expressed GRAB sensors.
