Dental trauma and pulp and periradicular alterations in permanent teeth
Description
After dental trauma, the pulp may progress to calcification starting at the pulp chamber. After some time, the crown might display a yellowish appearance, as a result of calcification in the pulp chamber, which can progress throughout the entire pulp. In the absence of pulp infection, no endodontic intervention is necessary. Conversely, some cases may present periapical lesions due to infection. In such cases, the use of a microscope and ultrasonic enhance the success of the procedure.
