CETSA (Cellular Thermal Shift Assay)
Description
CETSA is valuable for studying drug-target interactions in cells. The cells are treated with (1) drugs and then exposed to (2) different temperatures. Subsequently, the cells are (3) rapidly frozen to extract their contents, (4) soluble fragments are collected, and (5) protein stability is assessed through immunoblot analysis. This helps in understanding how proteins bind to specific ligands or drugs.
