Blood Cells Formation of Myeloid Cells - Hemopoiesis (hematopoiesis) Bone Marrow Stem Cells
Description
This template illustrates the development of myeloid cells. Myelopoiesis is the process by which the body produces various types of white blood cells, specifically those derived from myeloid stem cells. Myelopoiesis primarily takes place in the bone marrow, similar to hematopoiesis (the overall process of blood cell production). Myeloid stem cells differentiate into different types of white blood cells, including: neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils and monocytes.
