Biological characteristic of the endophyte fungi
Description
The symbiotic relationships between endophytes and plants are categorized into three categories: slightly pathogenic, mutualism or symbiosis, and antagonism. The benefits of endophytic colonization include growth, reproduction, and resistance, as well as providing shelter, nutrition, and protection to the host plant. Successful colonization is influenced by factors such as plant tissue type, plant genotype, microbial taxon and strain type, and environmental conditions.
