Behavioral test to evaluate social performance in lab mice
Description
Schematic view of the most frequent tests to evaluate social behavior in mice: the 3 chamber test assays the preference in exploration between a novel object and a new con-specific subject and between new vs familiar mice (a). In a more naturalistic version there is a social interaction test (b). In order to evaluate social status we can develope a social tube test (c) and social aggression with the intruder-resident paradigm (d).
