Aquaporins Orthogonal Arrays of Particles
Description
Aquaporin-4 (AQP4) orthogonal arrays of particles (OAPs) are specialized molecular structures found in the plasma membranes of astrocytes in the central nervous system, particularly in the brain. These arrays are composed of AQP4 water channels, which are integral membrane proteins known for their role in regulating water movement in and out of cells.
