Approaches for NK Cell Immunotherapy
Description
This template was adapted from the original submission. Edits were made to enhance scientific accuracy, optimal usability and/or to meet industry-leading design standards for science communication.
This figure describes potential immuotherapeutic approaches for the treatment of cancer using the innate effector lymphocyte natural killer (NK) cell. There are 6 key approaches outlined, all with the aim of boosting the effector function of NK cells and helping to target cancer cells. Some, such as cytokines and immune checkpoint inhibitors are clinically approved, whilst others are still in pre-clinical stages. Further work is needed to boost efficacy of these treatments in solid tumors.
