An editable high resolution scientific image depicting Adenosine/Vitamin E-Loaded Squalene Nanoparticles for Inflammation Reduction

Adenosine/Vitamin E-Loaded Squalene Nanoparticles for Inflammation Reduction

Description

This template was adapted from the original submission. Edits were made to enhance scientific accuracy, optimal usability and/or to meet industry-leading design standards for science communication. The template shows the effect on mice of squalene-based nanoparticles loaded with Adenosine and Vitamin E (SQAd VitE) as anti-inflammatory molecules. Adenosine is able to interact with LDL receptor, which expression is increased during inflammation, as well as tissue permeability. The structure of these nanoparticles, in particular the biofunctionalization of squalene with adenosine, allow for a slow release of Vitamin E. The use of SQAd VitE nanoparticles can be promising in pathologies characterized by prominent inflammation.
